 AFAIK Norton Internet Security includes a firewall. Have a look at the link below for instructions to configure the firewall. If you're using the Norton firewall, turn off XP's firewall...they'll conflict with each other  PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall Your Java's pretty old. Try using this version instead. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version (Add/Remove Programs) before you install this one.
