when i download that file its 22kb somat like that but when i put it in limewire folder its only 1kb why?

Please check in your control panel --> Add or Remove Programs
to see that you only have 1 java entry and not several -- if
you have more than 1 -- delete them then download the latest version
and re-install. Start up LW if still no good try my next fix

Your gnutella.net file could be corrupt so you will need to download
another one from here (gnutella.net)
You must show all hidden files like so:-
[1] Open windows explorer:-
select Tools à Folder Options à View à Show hidden files and folders.
[2] In windows explorer look for the Limewire Folder – go here:-
c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\LimeWire
(or)
c:\documents and settings\username\limewire
[3] Ensure that limewire is completely off - (check that it's not in the system tray)
bottom right of yr computer - if it is right click on the LW icon select exit.
now open the .limewire folder and look for and delete the gnutella.net file




[4] Now download a new version and save it to your desktop -
[5] Drag the new gnutella.net file from your desktop into the limewire folder.
[6] Close the LW Folder and start up Limewire
