Which Java version do you have?

Does your McAfee security not have a firewall included, or do you have the McAfee firewall turned off?

Did you have any trouble with any of the fixes in the help thread? Especially with deleting the gnutella.net file & deleting preferences folder?? Were you able to find the file & folder ok? And after deleting the prefs folder, did you go through LW's setup wizard all over again when you started LW?
Just in case you did have trouble, here's a link to a post with info about how another Vista user found & deleted their gnutella.net file...maybe it'll be easier to do it that way: http://forum.limewire.org/showthread...9401#post19401

Have you tried enabling UPnP within your router (I think it might be turned off by default) & then choosing the UPnP option within LW's tools > options > advanced > super really advanced > firewall page? Click ok in LW's options to save the change.

Do you have a port forwarded within your router setup, or have you just got port forwarding ticked within LW's options? Try changing both LW's listening port & manual port forward to 65000 (they need to be the same number) > ok.

If you have a port forwarded within your router setup, you'll need to forward a new port (65000) to match the port numbers in LW's options Did you have this set up also for your previous version of LW, or have you just set this up since the connection probs started?
Did you make sure to set up a static IP address before port forwarding? You'll need to do that, for port forwarding to work. Did you use these instructions for port forwarding (click on link)? Port Forwarding for the Netgear WGR614v7
There's an orange link within those instructions with info about how to set up a static IP address.
