Limewire 5.6.2(pirate edition) and java 1.7 Hello, I recently installed java 1.7 and now limewire won't start, says limewire needs java 6 or higher to run. Downgrading to java 1.6 just to run limewire doesn't sound good to me. Any help? |
Quote:
On Windows 7, I downloaded Java 1.7 64 bit, right-clicked & chose run as Admin, then installed. LPE ran fine. On Windows XP, a different story. Same as yours. I'd suggest downgrading back to Java 1.6 for now until Java is 'officially' released. I suspect the 32-bit version Java is lacking some full abilities at present. Perhaps certificates or such. However, Phex seems to run fine under Java 1.7 on Windows XP. :) |
downgrading to java 1.6 works, so I installed LPE in virtual machine running xp (since I already need VM for a project) so it works now, thanks. |
Im also having the same problem..I upgraded to java 1.7 and it keeps telling me i need java 6. |
Which Windows OS are you using? If you are using XP or earlier, you may need to downgrade to Java 1.6 (would need to uninstall Java 1.7 via the Add/Remove Programs control panel.) I had to do the same on my XP. For Windows 7, LW works fine with Java 1.7. I'm not so sure the Java 1.7 available at present is the final official release, otherwise it would become the default Java download. I suspect the Java 1.7 presently available is a kind of beta version. It does not seem to have full 32 bit abilities re-added to it yet. 64 bit Java works fine and that is obviously what they were concentrating on. I read something at the Java site in reference to Java 1.7 32 bit but it was not highly informative, just suggestive that it may be lacking some abilities or contain some bugs. If installing Java for Windows 7 or Vista, you should right-click the Java installer & choose Run as Administrator. This is necessary for LW for Windows 7 & beneficial for Vista. |
I installed Limewire on my laptop in the spring, when I bought it (Windows 7) and it worked just fine. Now it's not connecting. At first I thought it was because I was using Wifi at malls and McDonald's, but now I'm connected to someone's wifi in the house, still not connected. Any suggestions? |
More of a description of your set up might help. Sounds like you use a portable computer (laptop)? Have you done any Java updates in the meantime since spring? Find the Java.exe file, right-click & choose/set to Run as Administrator. On Windows 7 this can be very important for LPE to function properly. Then, make sure LPE is set to run as administrator. Right-click the LW shortcut & choose Run as Administrator. If this does not help with the connection, then try deleting the LW preferences folder whilst LW is closed: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...ndows-7-a.html. You might wish to make a copy of the downloads file (downloads.dat) before deleting the preferences folder. After this, you will need to do all the settings again. Beyond the above suggestions, check http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html Let us know if any of these helped. |
Yes, it's a laptop. I have Java Sprict 6 Update 26. Not sure where you want me to right click, though? |
The Java.exe file, right-click it & choose Run as Admin. It's found here: c:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java Perhaps easier, the other option is to re-install Java. Before installing you right-click the Java installer & choose Run as Admin. This of course is easiest if you download the Offline installer. Direct Java offline download link. |
I tried using that link, since the first set of instructions in your last reply, I didn't understand. It didn't work, I got a message saying it "timed out". Where do I find this java scpript to right click on it? Control Panel? |
Perhaps a web browser popup-blocker blocked the download of Java. Downloading & re-installing the "Offline" Java is no doubt an easier approach since you are not sure about the location of c:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java. Try this link instead What is the offline method for downloading and installing Java for a Windows computer? and choose the OFFLINE installer. Before installing Java, right-click the Java installer & choose Run as Administrator. . This is necessary if you wish to use LimeWire on Windows 7. |
Well I found it under the C drive, how do I run as as admin? That's the step I don't understand. You keep on telling me this but I don't understand how to make it do this in the C drive. |
Right-click the Java.exe file and you will see an option to Run as Administrator. Remember to right-click java.exe, not left-click. :) The following example is for the Java installer (& LPE shortcut) but same principle: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...lers-admin.gif |
I can't. The only option I get is to uninstall it when I right click. Where do I go to find the right java script that doesn't involve uninstalling it? I am really lost here, you're not making sense. |
If you don't have an option to run as administrator, then it's because you haven't got administrator rights in the first place. So either you need to use administrator account (every computer has one) or you need to have whoever has one do this for you. |
It's set up that I'm admin, since it's my computer. I just don't know where to start. LOTR keeps saying "run as admin", but I don't understand that. I find Javaspcirpt through the control panel and when I right click I can only uninstall. I need steps from the beginning, that start with where do I find Java script that's not in the control panel? |
You won't be able to run as administrator from control panel, which is exactly why LOTR says to download an offline java installer. The various java files are scattered all over your computer once installed, so if you want to run each and everyone of those as admin, then that method has not been tested. You will find various java*.exe files in amongst other locations: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (is x64 version) use search on your computer to find all locations. Maybe some are enough, maybe one is enough. We have no idea. If the link LOTR provided doesn't work for you then try one here: Download Java Runtime Environment 1.7.0.0 (32-bit) - FileHippo.com They should have most versions and the site is trusted. Once you downloaded the relevant java, download it to Desktop, right-click the installer and choose run as administrator. Of course after uninstalling the version you already have installed. |
What??? I can find it through Program Files (x86) then what do I do? Quote:

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...tml#post365407 I don't see how this can be this hard. Uninstall java. Download java. right-click java installer and choose run as administrator. Install. done. |

You have to be on an administrator account to uninstall. And yes, just a completely normal non-run as admin uninstall. If you still don't get it, then I give up and will leave LOTR at your mercy once again. |

Windows Which should I choose? Windows 7, XP Offline (32-bit) filesize: 16.0 MB Instructions Verify Now Windows 7, XP Offline (64-bit) filesize: 16.1 MB After installing Java, restart your browser and verify Java has been installed correctly. |
You can see in your control panel under "system" if you have 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) operating system. But I suspect 32-bit will work on all, while 64-bit will only work on 64-bit. |
I can't get LOTR's link to work, it say it "timed out" and the link you gave me leads to a page that says copy the link below which takes me back the page I was on. Now what? |
When nothing display properly for one person and works for everyone else it can only be one reason. Something is wrong with your computer. Maybe a scareware infection building itself up. Try using another browser or two e.g. FireFox or Chrome or Internet Explorer and see if the links display properly. LOTR's link is a direct download, while mine is a huge list of almost all Java versions. Also please take a screenshot of the page you see when you visit the link I posted and upload it somewhere. Then post it here using URL tags or the insert image button. Apart from that, definitely scan your computer, because something is rotten in the state of Denmark. |
I had the Java SE 1.7 SDK/JRE installed which came with the Android SDK install. I uninstalled 1.7 and reinstalled 1.6. LimeWire is working fine now. But now what about my Android SDK? |
Seems I made a mistake. :o I did not realise I still had Java 1.6 on my Windows 7 system & that is what LW was using. Seems LW will not run with Java 7 (1.7). It's not normally recommended to have more than one version of Java on your system. However, it is possible. But I'm not sure if this will affect Android SDK with Java 1.6 JRE still on your system. After I uninstalled Java 1.6, LW stopped running & reinstalling 1.7 made no difference. But after reinstalling Java 1.6, LW works fine. Still with Java 1.7 on the system. The present Java 1.7 version has not yet been made the official general release version. I believe Java JRE 1.7 is basically still in beta mode and may be missing some abilities. The sub-version starting with b is suggestive of a beta version. |
Lord of the Rings, I can't get LimeWire to run. I have both JRE 1.7.0_1 AND 1.6.0_27 installed. But LimeWire complains: LimeWire Launcher Error LimeWire needs Java Runtime Environment 6.0 or above ... I have tried uninstalling JRE 1.7 altogether, but same error. I suspect that the LimeWire application is searching in the wrong path for the java installation, but how do I fix that? How did you get it to work with both 1.7 and 1.6 installed? I have both LimeWire and the Java installation in their default directories, namely C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre... and C:\Program Files (x86)\LimeWire This problem is ridiculously irritating. (I did not think I have to register for these forums, but since I'm here, hello :) Please share your insight. Thank you. :) |
Seems LimeWire will not run with the present version of Java 1.7. I am not sure how you change path to find Java 1.6. Via the Java control panel it is possible to set which java version is the main one. I am guessing you are using Windows 7 by the looks of it. You do need to set the Java 1.6 to Run as Administrator. You can do that with the Java installer or find the appropriate Java.exe file. |
Thanks for the reply. I was able to resolve the problem late last night. I had to uninstall the 1.7 java versions, reboot, install the 1.6.27 java version and used Verify Java Version to verify that I really am running on 1.6.27. Then I reinstalled LimeWire and it worked. FYI, Windows 7 automatically runs the Java exe's as administrator. It doesn't seem to matter whether I go through the extra step to right click or not. Afterwards, LimeWire had trouble connecting, it was "connecting..." forever. But I used applied the connection fix you supplied in some other post on the forums and it was able to connect. Regards, Griff |
Glad to hear and thank you for letting us know how you fixed it. :) If you do have problems in future with connection, try running both the Java & LW in administrator mode. This can help. |
I been trying to make limewire connect for about 6 hours now. I read everything and i ran java as adm. and nothing is working. it just says connecting. |
Have you tried these suggestions: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html For Windows 7, I think LW might be best set to run as admin. also. Though I think Java is the most important item for that setting. I noticed you originally posted here after trying LW 5.5.16. LimeWire Pirate Edition always works better after a clean install. What this means is, you uninstall the previous version of LW, delete the LW preferences folder. Then install LPE. :) Such as using this technique: Re-installation Technique for both LimeWire and Java for Windows. * Note: up to this time, LPE does not seem to work with Java 1.7. We shall see what happens with later Java 1.7 releases once it becomes the standard Java download version. (This might be a simple case of LPE being set to use java 1.6 only and not 1.6+.) Occasionally I have same connection issue. I find it eventually connects by itself in most cases. If not, I replace the connection file. I may also try enabling or disabling ultrapeer abilities in advanced settings. Only takes effect after a restart of LPE. |
Java 1.7 Pirate Edition Solution Java 1.7 should have set up files associations on its own, so the easiest solution(for me anyways) is to create a shortcut directly to the JAR file, "C:\Program Files (x86)\LimeWire\lib\LimeWire.jar" or "C:\Program Files\LimeWire\lib\LimeWire.jar" depending on your windows version. That should be it, as Java will take over the rest and figure out what it should be doing. If this works for you, then give me some props, but if not, then suck a dick, 'cus its casual Firday, and I'm drunk, and this works for me.:PEACE: |

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...-lpe-java7.gif Edit: May 2013: LimeWire 5 and Java 7 shortcut installer aka LimeStart installer, a 2 in one fix for Java 7 Shortcuts and Connection insurance.. There is a dual Java fix combined with a connection file security equivalent to the LimeStart designed for MacOSX from earlier 2012. Edit: (17th December, 2012): I have created an installer to create any needed shortcuts for you and with LW icons if you would prefer it to be done for you. Edit: March 11, 2013: I have created a dual installer depending on whether you have standard LPE or File_Girl'ls version installed. How will you know which option to use? If after installing LPE the shortcut says LimeWire 5.6.2 then use the Standard LPE option. If the shortcuts are simply named LimeWire, then you have installed File_Girl's version of LPE and should choose the File_Girl LPE option. .(Also the startup screens are different. In the following image the top one is standard LPE, lower one File_Girl's LPE in this sample image.) Only one issue I have found is if you are using Windows 7 and have File_Girl's version installed, you will end up with two Start Menu program listings for LW unless you choose Desktop icon for All users. This is not a necessary choice, you can simply right-click the original listing from the Start Menu and choose Delete. The LPE versions we have listed on the forum since December are already packaged with the Java shortcut fix installers and security installers so no need to use these ones. Although improvements have been made with these ones. * LW 5 + LPE - LimeStart + Java Fix (click on link). LimeStart has been tested with LPE on Windows 8, 7, 2000 and XP for LPE and other LW 5 versions. This will install shortcuts specific for LPE (File_Girls version), LPE (original), 5.3.6, 5.4.6, 5.4.8, 5.5.8, 5.5.9, 5.5.10, 5.6.0 beta, 5.6.1 beta, LW prototypes-Lightweight, LW prototypes-Geo, LW prototypes-LAN, and a generic LW 5 option for any other LW 5 version. If the original LW shortcuts anywhere still remain simply delete them. For start menu simply right-click and choose remove. If you would prefer to create your own shortcuts then see post #38 below. If you ever wish to uninstall LimeWire, uninstall the LW-Java shortcuts first using the Add/Remove Control panel. From the Oracle Java site (Start screen is not supported): "The desktop version of the Windows 8 OS does not run in a full 64-bit mode (unless you have Enhanced Protected Mode in Internet Explorer 10 turned on), thus 32-bit Java is the default." Thus if updating 64-bit Java, always update the 32-bit Java last or LW will error and behave oddly. how do you create the shortcut? |
2 Attachment(s) Edit: See post #36 above for a program to do it all for you. Quote:
for Windows 7 that is: C:\Program Files (x86)\LimeWire\lib\LimeWire.jar for Windows XP and earlier that would be: C:\Program Files\LimeWire\lib\LimeWire.jar Right-click the LimeWire.jar file and choose 'Send to' : Desktop (Create Shortcut). You can find it via searching LimeWire.jar, then right-click it in the search result. This works fine for Windows XP. Attachment 5949 (Windows XP example 26KB, click to see larger view) For Windows 7, copy the entire C:\Program Files (x86)\LimeWire\lib\LimeWire.jar address into the search bar in the Start Menu and right-click the search result and choose Send To as described above. There might be better ways but this works and I'm not a Windows user by default. Attachment 5951 (Windows 7 example 47KB, click to see larger view) For Windows 8, only way I know how to find it is either manually go to the programs folder whilst in Desktop and find the LW folder, else whilst in desktop, type LimeWire.jar in the search box whilst Local Disk C is selected. Two results, one will be located in program files, so right-click that result and choose create shortcut and the system will then direct you to put it onto the desktop. Then of course, only use the new Shortcut to open LimeWire with. If you know how, you could probably also add a shortcut into the Start Menu depending on how you prefer to open LW. Example, copying the shortcut and pasting into the Start Menu -> Programs folder. You may wish to rename the shortcut. Start Menu folder locations: Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username\Start Menu\Programs For Windows 7 and Vista that would be: C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs Or if wanted for all users of the computer then place in the 'All Users' equivalent location. Example: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs Edit: Important note about Java 7, if you install or update Java including 64-bit Java, then install 32-bit Java last. Otherwise next time you start LW you will be prompted through the setup procedure again and your settings and downloads location will have changed. Reinstalling 32-bit Java and all goes back to normal. This also applies to Windows 8. The Windows 8 installation is not packaged with Java, so you need to download Java yourself. Do not disable file-sharing, do not 'freeload', if nobody were sharing files, you know of course there would be no files to download. If you are a part of the file-sharing community, then share your part and be a respected member of the file-sharing community. Do you never return what you borrow from your friends? Do you never return your partner's kisses and attention? File-sharing can even be a passion! |
Does the shortcut to the LW jar file open & run LPE 5.6.2 (execute it) when having Java 7/FX installed too? Also, for the above-referenced Java v.1.7, what version is that? Is it the newest from Oracle - Java 7/FX - or some older version? I'm not as technical as some of you, so I need things spelled out in layman's terms. :( The last "fix" for the LPE vs. Java 7/FX problem I read was to install LW v.4.18.8 and then install Java 7/FX, and they'll run OK together. For Windows XP machines like mine, specifically, LPE 5.6.2 can run with ONLY Java 6, Update 33 installed (Java 7/FX must be uninstalled). So, to have the latest Java version on my PC, I installed LW v.4.18.8. I have some questions about the options in LW 4.18.8: (1) Under Tools > Options > Filters > Keywords > Filter Result Types: There are checkboxes for "Ignore Adult Content", "Ignore .htm/.html Files", "Ignore .vbs Files", and "Ignore .wmv/.asf files." Should all of these items be checked so that LW's search filter will NOT filter them out of any search results, or, does checking any one of them mean the LW search filter WILL filter each checked file type OUT of your search results (i.e., it will block them from appearing)? (2) Also, should OOB (Out Of Band) searching be unchecked since LW says some internet connections will not work as well using it, even though search results are supposed to come in faster? (3) Lastly, when searching using v.4.18.8, I'm getting far fewer search results than I did using LPE v.5.6.2 (dozens as opposed to hundreds). LW 4.18.8 shows it's completely connected to the internet - what is the issue here? Thanks for your help. :) |
A. Yes, the shortcut executes the opening of the LimeWire program. B. Oracle Java 7 (build 1.7.0b147) which is the newest version. I am not sure it should matter if you are using the FX version. But I do not know the answer to this. I suspect it will work fine for you. (1) LW 4 search filter: It is highly recommended you do have those options checked. Yes it will filter those items out. Adult content filter would be aimed at reducing porn in search results. html files are useless and possibly dangerous. vbs files are rather useless also unless you had the info files that came with them. wmv and asf files are commonly spammed and frequently infested with virus. It's best not to trust them, thus filter out. For improved filtering, I would recommend seeing filter words and in general, see How to find Music and Videos though you probably already know much of that. (2) OOB is best left enabled if possible. What it means is, searches will go a little further, I suspect bouncing over some peers to reach peers further on in the chain of peers. If you suffer any kind of performance issues though, disable this option. Sometimes OOB can affect LW's connection. (3) Search results are usually a result of the ultrapeers you are connected to. I just opened 4.18 on Win XP and received good search results. It can sometimes be worth changing your hosts. ie: go to menu bar, View > enable Connections window. Remove the first on list. Wait several minutes and see if things improve. As a general rule, the longer you are connected, the better your search results should become. Remembering also that the network is rather dynamic, people frequently come and go and connections change. Someone complained about connecting to mostly or only Japanese hosts whom use Cabos. I have noticed this issue for a reasonable period now. But at least on this occasion of connecting with 4.18, only one of the hosts were from Japan. Remove any hosts you see using a version, LimeWire 4.21.1 (RC), these are spammers. Personally I preferred LW 4.14 compared to 4.18, but it can depend on a person's system or personal experiences. I also liked 4.16 but 4.14 was far better IMHO. |
Thanks for your replies Lord. I was loving v.4.18.8 until they came out with the first v.5, which I thought was terrible (why keep "fixing" LW when it wasn't broken?). After that, I continued to download the latest versions until 2010 when it was shut down, and liked the latest version of 5.x by then (don't remember the exact version number). LPE, as you know, was working fine until Java 7 came out. I'm still hoping for a newer, re-tweaked version of LW that can just be installed normally, without a shortcut to the jar file or to anything else, etc., and run with any new versions of Java that come out in the future. Hope to keep updated about that. BTW: Checking the box that I want to receive email notices whenever something on the Gnutella forum is posted so as to keep up-to-date does not work. I have not been getting anything from Gnutella. I have to go back and log in myself to check to see if anyone has posted anything new/answers to my questions. Don't know why this option isn't working for me. I've got v.4.18.8 installed with Java 7, Update 5, and FX 2.1.1 (which just installs automatically with it), and it's running OK. I have unchecked those file types I do NOT wish LW to filter out of my search results. Thanks for the input about the security concerns about each of the 4 file types you can check. As for OOB searching, I'm still a little unclear. Does enabling it mean it might adversely affect my own internet connection performance, or does it mean it will not connect to some sources (peers?) of content I'm looking for, so that I will get a lower total number of/more limited results? I'm not noticing (yet) any performance problems having OOB enabled. ???? Thanks again. :) |
re: OOB: If you have a broadband or better connection it will not affect your internet use. As far as LW is concerned, it would probably be rare but for some people there might be such situations it might affect LW's connection. In most cases OOB should be enabled, it should arguably help with search results. You might not notice any difference if it were enabled or disabled. Any OOB issues I guess would mostly affect dial-up or at a guess low-bandwidth satellite users. Yes I agree, the earliest LW 5 should never have been released publicly, not as a standard version anyway, only as a beta. It was probably not until LW 5.2 or 5.3 that it was starting to shape up. Sorry about the forum's email server. We have noticed the problem and it's an inconsistent problem. The server admin has not been able to pin-point the problem yet. :( |
Thanks for all your help, Lord. I've got LW v4.18.8 up and running with Java 7, Update 5/FX 2.1.1 installed. OOB searching enabled - will watch for internet issues. Previously, I left OOB disabled in LPE because of the warnings about internet connection performance problems. It would start downloading files, then keep dropping them and telling me to search again (i.e., "stalled"). Later, I'd reopen LPE, and it would re-establish some downloads from before, so I'd have to keep reopening it again and again to get it to download MOST of what I'd asked it to. Still unreliable though. Don't know if that is anything fixable. As you said, it's a dynamic situation that depends on who's online at any given time. We'll see how it goes with LW 4.18.8. Any chance a normal install and run of a tweaked version of LW will be created for download in the future that'll run with whatever the newest versions of Java are that are installed with it? Thanks again :) |

I messaged File_Girl71 directly about the LPE vs. Java 7 problem. No response yet, at least. Maybe she's looking into it without responding directly to me. Wonder if there's any way to find out if she's got anything new going on? |

I have done the Java fix and have downloaded both Java x32 and x64, and checked if I have both and both have been verified by the Java checker on their site. But when I try and open LimeWire, I get this error message: LimeWire has encountered an internal error. It is possible for LW to recover and continue running normally. To continue using LW, close this window. If desired, you can click 'Show Bug' to look at the information about the error. I look at the connections in the Advanced Options and the attempts to connect dry up and go away..so I can't connect. Any solution? And sorry for the huge post x_x |
This is a typical LW-java error report, no problems about the size. When you installed Java, did you set the installer to 'Run as Administrator' before installing? This is very important for Windows 7. Especially for connection issues. Might prove worthy to set LW to do the same by right-clicking the shortcut to LW and setting to Run as Administrator. If not or unsure, re-install Java 7 (1.7) and set the installer as suggested to Run as Administrator, install over the previous installation of Java. The direct link to the Java 7 'offline' installer here. . If specifically booting/running in 64-bit mode, then maybe this Java 7 for 64 bit only mode only if the previous installation link does not help and you definitely know for sure you only boot into Windows 64 bit mode. Set both the Java installer AND LimeWire shortcut to Run as Administrator (sorry this example uses Java 6, but same principle) If necessary do the same with the LimeWire.jar shortcut (Tell us which one works for you.) :) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...lers-admin.gif |
1 Attachment(s) I have uninstalled Java, went to their site, downloaded the offline versions of Java and installed them again (I am familiar with it because Minecraft uses it), set them to "Run as administrator" and installed. Also did the same with the LimeWire file, (F_G's recommended edition), set to run as administrator. Once I open LW after the .jar fix it still gives me the error, exactly the same one on startup. However it says it connects now, and I can search for things, it gives me options (along with the junk files that are obvious..), I click on it and it starts downloading, and says it does indeed download and finishes. I can even play it in the built-in player, and the whole song plays. But when I go and look for it in the directory, its not there..I right click the file and "Show on disk" and it says it cannot be found. Also when I try and change the directory to something other than the default, the settings screen freezes and doesn't allow me to click OK or to close the window, and I cannot click on anything else, so I have to end it in the task manager. So..its like almost there, I have a connection, but it's apparently not saving the file on the disk, but yet I can still play it :bangh: EDIT: I can however right click the file when searching and select "Download as.." and save the file where I want, and it actually downloads. But I don't exactly want to find the directory every time, if I don't have to x_x |
Ignore the 'You are Offline' message on the main window. Previously the main page would link to the LW website, however the link is now dead, thus it generates that error message. When you open LW's Option settings up for the first time it will probably ask for you to allow firewall permission for Java. I believe this should be set to yes to allow private+public. The settings (options) window is definitely an issue for you it seems. One thing you could try if willing, is to delete your preferences folder (save your downloads file): http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...ndows-7-a.html. Then when you start LW up next, you will need to do the set-up questions again and then try to re-do any changes of settings via the menu bar, Tools > Options. As for the Locate on Disk tool, I found it seemed to work slowly. But after a while the folder would be flashing in the tray at bottom of screen. This worked for both incomplete and downloaded files. Your error report in post #47 looks almost identical to one generated by an attempted File_Girl71 fix for the Java 7 issue a few weeks ago, though she removed that fix soon after posting it. |
