note: I've flown on a plane twice in the past 28 years....round trips...once from San Francisco to San Antonio, and once from here to Atlanta for my grandmother's funeral...and have never flown out of Los Angeles...flew quite a few times when I was much younger out of San Jose...the point being I was clueless about the SNA issue

Charged with posession of child porn, when the only evidence is 14 filenames that could not be verified? A prosecutor admitting to "exaggerating" criminal charges? A lawyer telling a defendant to plead guilty at arraignment? (With only one hour to prepare for a case, the standard practice is to plead 'not guilty' and waive time. The plea may change at a later date - after further review of the case and discussion with the DA.) Was this in the US (what city, state)?

If the "girl tied to a bed..." was made to appear underage (even if she was over 18), and the title implied child porn, then posession of the file could be a criminal offense. But you said he was downloading music.

A program that changes the filenames as I'm downloading them is a new one on me.

Not necessarily changes the filename, but you end up with a file of same file-hash (identical file content) but with another name, perhaps the original name. So the original file chosen to download was probably a masked file with a less suspicious file name. Once you've been using gnutella network for quite a while you will notice files you download sometimes have a different filename to the one you actually chose to download. Perhaps this is still good because you end up with what you want, else you end up with something else because it was a poor choice in the beginning.

i browse folks who download from me and I wound up there as he/she was downloading a file

for people that dont know get peer guardian and on the phoenix labs site at the bottom right of the page click the I-Blocklist link theres a (pedophiles) list of known pedofiles. you can use it to create a list to block them in peerguardian click list manager/add put a check next to add url and at the top in description) name it somthing like p2p1 click ok it could help.
