I'm new to all this and a first timer so I hope you can help me.

I have an annoying problem, that every time I open WINDOWS IE 7 for the first time, another window opens underneath with adverts for moblies etc and with addresses such as; *Optus phonecard spam link removed* and similar.
The window will reopen underneath periodically more and more, depending on the amount of times I open a new window or link, maybe after every 5-10 times.
I started using Firefox to get away from the problem, but the "virus"! may start doing other things so thought I better do something about it.
I have symantec anti virus and spybot search and destroy all updated which I run often and my OS is XP PRO service pk 2.
Through info on these forums I have run Hyjackthis and have provided a copy of the log results hoping you can fix my problem.
