I am "re-registered" Boo_hoohoo *guest* now *whymewhynow* I didn't realize till now that I wasn't logging in as a registered person again. I couldn't get into boo_hoohoo for some reason so am starting "over". Please if you can tell me where to look for "Correcting" the problems seen. I did double check the notes to "set up limewire" correctly.. It looks right.. Arlene |
My Download Bandwidth is 219.029 kB/s...does that mean I should put my download speed on LimeWire on "Unlimited"? And what do you think is the best number to type in "Maximum Downloads" ? |

Do you have a router? Any other firewalls? |
Back from Las Vegas Sorry that I haven't been back to get fixed.. LOL was on a mental break in Las Vegas playing with all kinds of glass. Now. I am running my lime wire mainly off my lap top at home. Typical story, seemed to be doing really well downloading then suddenly the download slowed to a stop. I don't know now what to do as I have done so many of the tips and tricks tht I am probably really confused about where to go next. I am on windows xp pro, I use the windows firewall, have the ports set up as told per instructions... Um What else do you want to know at this point? |
My d/l is going up and down all the time. Please let me know if you have any advice. Thanks. I appreciate the guidance. __________________ Celebpimp |
whymewhynow, try turning the Win XP firewall off, then going to LW and doing the Bug Report again. orlinks, what do you mean? That with one file you get slow speeds while with another you get faster speeds or that while downloading a file the speeds go up and down? |
thanks, Murasame! Download speed question: nice post, good info! Tied up a couple of loose ends for me, e.g. max number of downloads could concievably be reached on one file! I'm tweaking. question - I think it was asked in another post, but didn't see a reply: When I was using Kazaa, on a good night I was achieving download speeds of up to 170kB/s, yet my download speed slider in Limewire maxes out at about 43 just before unlimited. Same if I move my setting from DSL to T1. Any way to change that? |
I don't think so. Just put it to Unlimited. |
