Government Monitoring MK_ULTRA
I am glad you mentioned the NSA, there are also other US government organisations, foreign computer companies (French, Chinese, UK, etc) and a host of local and city authorities all monitoring the internet. That is why I use PeerGuardian 2.0, it keeps these creeps out of my PC without affecting (too much) my P2P-ing.
PeerGuardian is available free from here: http://www.phoenixlabs.org/pg2/
People that talk about controlling the internet are either very naive or have a hidden agenda.

PS. Does the US Patriot Act really help to fight terrorism or does it allow government to keep an eye on it's citizens?
PPS. I am sure that sooner or later the UK government will also introduce it's own version of the "Patriot Act". |
