For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Tried both, neither works, originally set up as UPnP. 15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...lies/smile.gif Use Windows Firewall and AVG Security Suite. Usually Win Firewall is disabled. For limewire, I disabled both. 16. What country are you living in? USA Hopfully, this is enough information about my system. Have you tried these options: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html Quote:
So it seems the default port of 6346 is not blocked, just something is interfering in the connection & incoming messages. Here's an odd suggestion but it might work; try installing FrostWire. If it connects, then close it & open LW & see if it connects. |

Trying frostwire next.... Thanks for the tips, LOTR, I tried fostwire. Worked perfect first time. closed it down, told limewire not to make it the default magnet???, limewire doesnt work. Aside from the obvious (use frostwire instead of limewire) Any other suggestions before trying all of the stuff in the link you mentioned in your post? |
