Another link for those having problems with LimeWire 3.8.6...

Download and Re-Install LimeWire 3.6.15.

This may be a temporary measure for some of you to try.

This works for me! Merci!

It worked for me on XPPro.

Many thanks.

This is 'good' news... I think

Many thanks to you fougere and to you Marcob for returning to report.

I hope that others will do the same, whether they are successful or not.

Tried to install 3.6.15.

When asked where to install, when I selected my hard drive, it said "Cannot install software on this volume. (null)".

Don't know what that means, other than I can't install it. I removed my current version of Limewire first, am I missing something?

thanks.

You might try this -

Open Control Panel, open Java, select the browser tab, uncheck Netscape and Internet Explorer, reboot & try Limewire. If you connect you can download another version of Java and assign it to your web browser.

I run version 1.4.1_04 with my web browser and version 1.3.1_04 with Limewire.

Good luck,

Norm

I hope that somebody can give me a hand here. I am running Win ME, and haven't been able to connect for quite awhile. I tried everything that was stated to do through this thread, but still have no luck. I have downloaded the latest version, 3.8.7, but no luck. I tried to go back and download 3.6.15, but admittedly I am kinda stupid when it comes to doing things like that. All it would tell me is that the install failed. Can somebody help me out here.

Thanks
