yblt ,

This may be repeats but just to be sure -

Do you have a router? If so try bypassing it to see if that helps.

Is the Windows XP firewall off? Not just your installed ones but the one that comes with XP.

Have you opened Control Panel, Java, Browser - and unchecked Netscape and IE 6.0?

connection problems

I hate paying for something that doesn't work! I tried deleting the preferences folder.....not working. I haven;t been able to connect decently or stay connected since I upgraded. It even tells me I'm not conneceted to the internet when I AM. The whole thing is useless.
It used to work fine....
I'm not happy...........

That damn connection thing!!!

Well, I tried to figure out all the recomendations listed here, and still no go, so out of sheer desperation I binned my entire Limewire program, (and I mean every single little piece in my computer with the Limewire name on it).
Then I started from scratch and downloaded the installer and installed like a Limewire virgin, and hey guess what? STILL NO CONNECTION!!!!
Any suggestions, purleeease...
I have 56k, i-Mac OS9.
Gawd bless ya.
