Has any of the previous posters actually read the fix information about installing the patch etc???

I installed the MS patch.. didn't help at all

Double-check all your settings everywhere! Also search the forum for sp2. I remember posting a patch several weeks ago & also a no. of people have found their own solutions (which might not apply to everybody - just as the patch might not help everybody!)

I tried everything that I've come across and nothing has worked. I dont have the firewall or anything like that turned on either..

Just a thought, are you looking for some rare content which will be troublesome to download? After I finished playing with all the settings, I tried to download a test track which I knew would have lots of sources.

I can't even get connected in order to search. When I first installed limewire it worked awesome for about 4 days.....

People, please, if you want us to help you, at least read the rules. They tell you the minimum of info to post.

I deleted my old preferences and deselected connect on start up.
And now I connect.
