Default Help Port Forwarding Limeware - Westell Router

Hello, I have a Westell Router, I'm running Windows XP SP2

went to portforward.com and the info it gave me is incomplete

Port Forwarding for the Westell Versalink 327W

This is my router but there is no info on what to enter for port range. It also tells me that a 2nd dialog box will appear to enter limew2 after you enter in limew1 when it doesn't.

Please I need assistance on how to port forward limeware correctly.

In LW tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Change LW's listening port to 65000 (or try any ports in the range of 49152 - 65535) > apply > ok. If you have port forwarding set up for a modem/router, you'll need to change the port forwarded to match LW's new listening port. If you have a specific port number allowed thru a software firewall, make sure that you allow LW's new port number.

Hello, when setting up my firewall for limewire, what do I put in for "global port range" and "base host port"

No matter what I put in there its giving me these 2 errors.

"your base port cannot exceed 65535"
"invalid start point in your range"
"invalid end point in your range"

I tried putting in what you told me to , but its not letting me get anywhere, can you please tell me what numbers to put in for my router, the link is above in my 1st post for portforward .com and it doesn't say what numbers to put in there either.

I have my port setup on limewire, I just don't understand how to get anywhere with my firewall setup.

I just changed from dial up to broadband.
I also just changed from LWBasic to LWPro ver 4.16.6
I, too, have a Westell 327W wireless modem/router.
OS is Windows XP Pro, SP2
.... and, of course, am having identical problems as
in this post. After removing LW Basic software in my
control panel, and installing LW Pro, the software loads,
and as it connects, only the first of 5 bars turns green,
and the icon of the firewall remains.... then the software
just sits there forever.

Now I'm no computer techie, so all I can tell you at this point
is that the darn thing don't work. I haven't tried anything yet
to get it to work, only checking this forum for answers. But,
my first impression is that this is definitely a common problem
and perhaps someone in the know would be kind enough to
post a step-by-step list of everything to check in order to get
it working properly, and/or how to do it in novice terms. It may
just save a lot of postings in the future and help us all out.

Thanks so much if you are able to, and do such a thing.
The rest of us would certainly appreciate your invaluable knowledge.
