You cannot connect or your LW starts up with error messages?

The 64-bit Java issue http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...ting-java.html which is where LW starts up with an error message and cannot connect because it has changed its location for settings. Install the 32-bit Java last seems to fix it. Though in soubeagi's last scenario, reinstalling LW fixed it.

The first one, which is why I uninstalled everything Limewire related a couple of months ago.

I have a ton of songs I want to download but nothing to download them with.

If LW does not connect for you, try FrostWire or Phex instead. :) FrostWire looks very similar to the older LW 4 version. Phex is not a LW copy and has its own design.
If they struggle to connect, then there are connectfixes for them also. If none of them connect then there must be some other kind of problem.

Never heard of them. What versions should I try?

Lord of the Rings January 8th, 2013 08:12 AM

For FrostWire, either 4.20.9 or 4.21.8. I preferred 4.20.9 and it connected faster for me.
For Phex, there's only one version for Windows available.

BTW I think you misunderstood runt66's attempt to help you last year. He was not trying to insult you in any way or form. Just a misunderstanding.

Helping me, does not include making up nicknames.
