there needs to be a way to group the results of a music search into the album it came from so that it can be easier to download an entire album with out scrolling through hundreds of songs and playing some sort of guessing game trying to piece together the album.

I would like a 'feature' ... to remain in Limewire, but be able to 'promote' new acquisitions and/or media purchases to "shareable" without leaving LimeWire (or waiting until no one was accessing the shared files in order to do a 'refresh'). I have had 23 different accesses to files at one time, but could not add a couple of dozen new songs because 'refresh' temporarily disconnects anyone transfering files when the refresh is started. (I have enough 90+% complete downloads that never seem to be able to be completed, so do not wish anyone else to be cut off, close to completion of a transfer).

I'd like the ability to mask my IP address. I dislike having my real IP show up on someone else's Monitor screen or Browse Host tab to enable them to find me. I'd like instead to be able to have a user name or other info show up. It wouldn't stop anyone from browsing my files, but it would short-circuit anyone's ability to log my IP. To me, this is a very big privacy and security breach.

There's no real true technique. Proxies at best. But everywhere you go on the internet you leave your ip footprints. Every site you visit whilst browsing can record it.

in the big picture, those that want your IP would be able to get it even if it wasn't obviously displayed...unless as LOTR noted you use a socks5 proxy...

Not sure if it's available, but I would like to somehow have the option to disable or restrict some of the search. Either via a setting or password protected by a valid administrator. I can find practically anything with LW, but I do not want my child to get full access to it. I only want him to find things such as documents and music. No programs, images or videos.

I limewire installed on one PC, but would like to install it on a second PC which is mostly used by my son and I don't want him having full access to the search in limewire. I would also like to restrict my copy just in case he's using it.

Re-Search

Ok, I got a good one.... I'm sure I am the only one that ever thought of it.... are you ready.... We need a "Re-Search" timer. Ok, let me be more specific, we sit there behind our computers and click the "get more results" tab, over and over. But, we could change that with a "re-search" timer. You could set it to find more results every 5,10,20,30 minutes or even every 2-5-10 hours. This would keep your results coming in, which I think that we can all agree that there is nothing more painful than searching for a few hours for that certain file, finding it, downloading it, and then finding out that the file is mis-titled or wrong.... and then you have to start searching again. If your computer continued to update and search for your specific file as different users come and go throughout the day.

Wow! that is a great idea!!! Take care everyone!!!
