Your font must be in normal font when you install Limewire -- check that your font is in normal font and not large font.size.
In Windows XP Home, right click on an empty part of Desktop, choose Properties, Appearance, Font size. Choose Normal.

If your problem still remains -- in Limewire Links (below) click on (system details) and fill in as much as you can and post back here

I had the same problem you know Installation corupted.... Bla Bla, I downloaded the backup installer full version and I worked.
It is here
http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe

hi, i am trying to download the updated limewire, as 4.16.6 says that you need to due to security problems, this new one doesnt work, and says the file is corrupted. ive tried downloading using the backup, but this downloads the old version of limewire, which then tells me to download the update, its a never ending cycle, how can i get the newest version, that actually works?????

Many people are having the same problem -- it seems to be a limewire fault -- try this link by zab (http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe)

Uninstall limewire - use limewires uninstall -- once youve done that -- reinstall limewire using this link by zab :-(http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe)
