Hi Bazzbozz,

We're working on this problem but we need your help. Could you please run the condi.jar program linked in my previous comment and send me the logfile?

Thanks,
Michael

Default Where is the program?

I'm sorry maybe I'm not gettin it, but what program do you want me to run and why? Where is this program, and what will it do to my computer, how much space does it take up, and what does it do?
It appears the problem lies with the new program and not my computer specifically, why should I add another program to an already difficult problem? I don't mean to come off defensive but it seems alittle absurd to add to the problem rather take something away!

Sorry for not explaining more fully. The program is located at http://limewire.org/debug/condi.jar - it's a stripped-down version of LimeWire with no GUI that just connects to the network, issues some searches for random dictionary words, and logs some information about each connection, like how long it stays connected to each ultrapeer, the number of search results received, and the number of incoming searches. The program uses less memory than LimeWire and a minimal amount of CPU and bandwidth. It runs for an hour in the background; while it's running you should be able to see an icon in the system tray that shows a lime with a question mark in front of it. When the program exits it will leave behind a file called condi.log - please email the file to mrogers at limewire dot com and I'll try to determine what's wrong with your connection. No personal or private information will be written to the log file - you can open it with a text editor before sending it if you're curious about what's being logged.

Cheers,
Michael

Default Condi.jar program???

I d/l the link/program/files you suggested and unzipped whatever files were there, but I don't see a condi.jar file in the folder where they were saved to, could there be another name or are they hidden in one of the folders?

Just click on the link in mrogers' post & then choose to save the file. If you save it to your desktop, then the condi log file will also show up on your desktop. After the file finishes downloading, double click on the file named condi (has a Java emblem) on your desktop & it will start running

Default Where's the condi.jar???

Thanx for your replay Birdy! Well I did what you asked and the same thing happens, I get a folder named condi.zip on my desktop and when I try to open it a folder opens up with a bunch of other files and folders but no condi.jar program/file/folder! Am I really stupid or is something not happening here? I'm lost, is there something I'm doing wrong or is there another solution?

Question Same Problem With Frostwire

Howz It guys

I to am having the same problem with very little or no search returns. This started a few weeks back...I have a old version of limewire Pro 4.9.37 that has worked flawlessly until now...What I wanted to add is the very same problem is also affecting frostwire 4.17.2,there latest release...frostwire was also working flawlessly until a few weeks ago...I find it very strange that both LW and FW developed the same problem at the same time...what do you think?

Aloha,bcool
