If you deleted your LW prefs folder then it will not exist until the next time you open LW & go thru the set up options again. Then close LW, replace the file. See my post #1306 for details of where to find it, also a different way of finding it in Vista. If you follow the sample image at bottom of page for my first link you will see best way to approach finding it. Use the search window to turn on show hidden files & folders then do the search.

All i did was a search for Limewire and opened up each folder until I found it. I couldn't find it either with the pathways given.

Well I found this and it worked for me.

1.get file gnutella.zip from here (right click - save target as )

http://minasbeis.tripod.com/gnutella.zip

and unzip it

2.go to directory
C:\Documents And Settings\username\Application Data\LimeWire
(where username is the name you use to login to your PC) and replace the existing file gnutela.net with that

3.restart limewire.

:super:

It's AWESOME that you posted this and now my PRO version of limewire works fine(TURBO CHARGED CONNECTION EVEN).... Took me 1/2 an hour to find your post....It is VERY SAD that MY PAID FOR PRO VERSION of lime wire would not work without this fileupdate...AND that Limewire does not have an auto fix for this OBVIOUS program bug ......
Kudos ADDAM
